Artists & Promoters - Please read!!!

TIRC Chart Eligibility Requirements

The Texas Internet Radio Chart (TIRC) was created to serve the Texas Music Scene and the artists actively building careers within it.

We are committed to fairness, transparency, and protecting the integrity of our chart at all costs.

Artist Eligibility

Texas-Based Requirement

Artists must:

Reside in Texas and actively perform in Texas
OR
Be born in Texas
OR
Perform at least 1/3 of their annual shows in Texas

Artists in bordering states (OK, LA, AR, CO, NM) may qualify if:

Actively working the Texas scene
Using a Texas radio promoter
Supporting Texas artists in their home markets

We reserve the right to request documentation verifying eligibility.

As of 11/21/23, active service members and veterans are eligible for TIRC tracking.

Release & Quality Standards

Your single MUST be radio-ready and radio quality.
Your single MUST be officially released and available on Spotify or Apple Music.
The release must appear under the artist’s official profile page.

If these requirements are not met, your song will not be tracked or reported.

AI Integrity Screening (Effective Immediately)

All submitted singles are screened using three separate AI Music Detection Services prior to fingerprinting and chart tracking.

If your song does not pass AI screening, it will NOT be eligible for charting.

TIRC exists to support:

Real songwriters
Real musicians
Career artists actively doing the work

We will protect the integrity of this chart at all costs.

Submission does not guarantee acceptance.

Submission Process

All new singles must be submitted through our official submission form for fingerprinting and eligibility review.

If your release does not meet eligibility requirements, we cannot fingerprint or track your single.

Recurrent Policy

Any single hitting #1 for 3 consecutive weeks will be marked “Recurrent.”
After 24 weeks, all singles move into Recurrent Status.

TIRC is focused on reporting CURRENT singles and new music.

Reporting Transparency

Minimum of 3 spins per week per station required for tracking.
Stations are capped at 40 spins per week per artist.

This prevents manipulation and protects chart accuracy.

Station Panel Requirements

Panel stations must:

Dedicate 10–20% of programming to current Texas singles
Average approximately 250 current single spins per week (3-week rolling average)

Stations engaging in payola, pay-to-play, or spin manipulation will be removed immediately.

The Chart Editor retains the right to amend policies as needed to protect the integrity of TIRC, TIRC-AM, and TIRA.
